Hey there, I’m Jimmy Zhang, and I’m 9 and a half. I might not be in middle school yet, but I’ve been around! I was born in California, went to kindergarten in China, and moved to Singapore with my parents and two older brothers when I was 6. Now, I’m a student at the Singapore American School.
I am a massive bookworm. I actually finished reading the entire Harry Potter series in the original English when I was 8. You’ll pretty much always catch me with a book in my hand, especially when I’m traveling. I power through about two books a week, which adds up to around 100 books a year. Lately, the books I’m picking up are getting so thick and complex that my teachers are actually getting a little worried I’m reading stuff that’s “too grown-up”!
But don’t get me wrong, I’m definitely no nerd. I’m totally into golf, soccer, rock climbing, and drama. Recently, I’ve gotten super curious about business and finance. I even started my own online second-hand store and use my pocket money to invest in the stock market. That’s also why I’m launching this Reading Club in 2026.
So far, I’ve lived in and traveled to 12 different countries. I really believe that reading and traveling do the exact same thing: they show us a much bigger world and keep our minds open and interesting. It’s about time adults stop underestimating us kids!

我是个绝对的超级书迷。8 岁那年我就啃完了《哈利·波特》的英文原著。不管去哪，特别是出门旅行，我包里总会塞本书。我大概一周能刷完两本书，一年算下来差不多 100 本。最近我看的书越来越厚，题材也越来越深，搞得我的老师都开始有点小担心，怕我看的书太“成人化”了。
但我绝对不是个只知道看书的书呆子！高尔夫、足球、攀岩、戏剧我都玩得转。最近我还迷上了商业和理财——我在网上开了一家二手商店，还在用自己的零花钱投资股票呢。为了和更多人分享好书和新奇的想法，2026 年我决定发起这个阅读俱乐部。
到目前为止，我已经去过 12 个国家旅行和生活了。我觉得，阅读和旅行就像两把钥匙，能帮我们打开通往更大世界的大门，让我们的思想变得更开阔、更有趣。所以，大人们，请别再小看我们小孩啦！
